Walton Mark Lodge 161
Brethren step up to the mark for Christopher.
5th November 2015

On Wednesday 4th November was a very special day for Bro Christopher Douglas
Walton Mark Lodge was issued with a warrant in 1872 and has survived 143 years.
Brother Chris was looking forward to being Installed in the chair of his lodge by W.Bro Wilf Spencer. All was going well, until W.Bro Wilf had to inform the other members of Walton Mark that his wife Susan had just been rushed to hospital, in Liverpool with a suspected heart attack.
The brethren of Walton Mark told W Bro Wilf, that they would perform the ceremony and wished a speedy recovery for Susan.

Up to the mark stepped W Bro Colin Boardman and W Bro Derek Horrocks, between them with only 48 hrs notice they performed an excellent ceremony, and received deserved congratulations from W. Bro John Waring Grand Steward who was the Representative of our Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master.

This was the first Meeting that W Bro John has attended in this capacity, not that anyone would believe it, W Bro John appeared as though he was well accustomed to the role.

Brother Chris was very happy with team-work that had taken place for his installation and spoke proudly of being installed in a fine manner.

Susan and Wilf also had good news, the operation for Susan was successful she has had a triple by-pass.
